Relyea named as new Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce director

SARANAC LAKE — Adrienne Relyea has been appointed as the new executive director of the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

“Adrienne is passionate about SLACC’s mission and is committed to growing our membership and providing the best possible services,” said SLACC Board of Directors President Bob Bayruns. “Her lifelong connection to Saranac Lake and her past experience with the chamber will provide a smooth transition for the organization. We’re excited to start this new chapter, and we thank outgoing director Johnny Muldowney for his service.”

Relyea is a 1997 graduate of Saranac Lake High School and an active community member. She held the chamber’s Director of Membership position from 2007 to 2012. She lives in Vermontville with her two daughters, Emma and Kathryn, and dog, Piper.

“I am both humbled and thrilled to be asked back to the chamber,” Relyea said. “I have a passion for the Saranac Lake area and hold this community close to my heart. I grew up here, my family had a business here for 14 years, and I’ve been raising my daughters here for almost 15 years. I’m looking forward to serving our membership and getting more intimately involved with the intricate needs of our community and businesses.”

Relyea started her new position Aug. 14, with a week of overlap with outgoing Executive Director Johnny Muldowney.

The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce office is located at 193 River Street, Saranac Lake, with operating hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Saranac Lake Welcome Center is located at 39 Main Street, Saranac Lake, with operating hours Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
