DEC app complete for phase 1 of ACR

TUPPER LAKE — Initial Department of Environmental Conservation permit applications for the future development of the Adirondack Club and Resort are complete.

On Wednesday the DEC posted notice on their website of Preserve Associates’ completed applications for permits related to the development of 18 residential lots; construction of and improvements to the 5.46 mile Pond Road; and 11 stream crossings.

Preserve Associates applied for three specific permits: Article 17 Titles 7 & 8 Industrial SPDES – Surface Discharge; Article 15 Title 5 Stream Disturbance; and Section 401 – Clean Water Act Water Quality Certification.

Each of these permits pertains to water quality maintenance and storm water discharge.

Application documents are available for inspection at the Region 5 DEC headquarters in Ray Brook. Public comment on the project must be submitted in writing by July 14. Letters can be sent to: Erin L Burns, NYSDEC Region 5 Headquarters, 1115 St Rte 86, Ray Brook, NY 12977.
