This rendering shows what the Adirondack Rail Trail, intended to replace railroad tracks, would look like crossing state Route 86 on the east side of Saranac Lake. Rich Shapiro, a Saranac Lake village trustee and member of a state-overseen group planning the trail, shared this image in advance of information sessions from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Cantwell Community Room of the Saranac Lake Free Library, 109 Main St., Saranac Lake.
