SARANAC LAKE — Progressive political activism group Now What?’s free lecture series will continue with its fifth installment at 7 p.m. Wednesday in North Country Community College’s S-19 Lecture Hall.

Russ DeFonse, a former economics teacher at Paul Smith’s College as well as high-end furniture maker, will present a talk entitled “Redefining Economics.” DeFonse aims to provide a new perspective on what many may consider an otherwise uninteresting subject.

Future presentations by local educators may include the topics of political identity, climate change and how to write a newspaper op-ed essay. These lectures are provided to educate and inform people so that they can make reasonable decisions in responding to current issues.
