ADE offers immediate, localized election news

The Adirondack Daily Enterprise will cover the election from a local perspective tonight, posting results and stories as soon as they are available on www.adirondackdailyenterprise.com as well as the Enterprise Facebook and Twitter pages.

Polls close at 9 p.m., and at least some race results are expected shortly afterward.

Staff Writer Antonio Olivero, the paper’s lead political reporter, is covering federal elections: how local people vote in the presidential race and the results of the three-way race to represent New York’s 21st Congressional District, which spans northern New York.

Senior Staff Writer Chris Knight will cover state races: between Billy Jones and Kevin Mulverhill for the 115th Assembly District, between Robin Barkenhagen and Dan Stec for the 114th Assembly District, and between Betty Little and Steve Ruzbacki for the 45th Senate District.

The Enterprise’s new staff writer, Kelly Carroll, will cover local races: a four-way contest for two seats on the Tupper Lake Village Board of Trustees, and elections for seats on the Franklin County Board of Elections.

Enterprise Managing Editor Peter Crowley will oversee stories, the website and social media posts tonight. Production Manager Steve Bradley will design news graphics. News Editor Brittany Proulx edits and lays out the print edition.
