LAKE PLACID – The High Peaks Information Center at Adirondak Loj will be closed for renovations until late December according to the Adirondack Mountain Club, which owns the property.

Staff will operate out of a heated tent and will still offer snowshoe and microspike rentals, along with some retail merchandise. The flush toilet and shower facilities will not be available, though there will be porta-johns.

Parking will not be affected at Adirondak Loj.
