SARANAC LAKE – The Saranac Lake Area Chamber Of Commerce announced Wednesday the appointment of Bob Bayruns as its new board of directors president.

Bayruns is a retired U.S. Air Force master sergeant and current store manager at Coakley High Peaks Ace Hardware.

This is Bob’s first time as president.

“I’m honored and privileged to be chosen president for our board of directors,” Bayruns said. “I’m excited to work with all of our board members, old and new, and Johnny Muldowney, our executive director. We are always looking for ways to help our 250 plus members. I will be available to our members, neighbors, and the local governing bodies to brainstorm any projects, issues, and concerns any time. I do know that I won’t always initially have all of the answers, but we’ll work as a team to find solutions.”
