Rangers find lost woman in Siamese Ponds Wilderness

INDIAN LAKE – State forest rangers located a woman who got lost hiking in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness area on Sunday evening.

The The 35-year-old from Warrensburg called state Department of Environmental Conservation dispatch in Ray Brook and said she had been lost for two hours on the Clear Pond trail. Two forest rangers located her shortly before 10 p.m. The woman had built a fire for warmth, and after extinguishing the fire, the rangers escorted the woman back to the trailhead.
