SARANAC LAKE – The annual Community Messiah Sing has been hosted for well over a decade, migrating through the towns of Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and Tupper Lake, and is traditionally a fundraiser dedicated to art education of local youth.

Hosted this year by Saranac Lake Young Art Association, it will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at the First United Methodist Church.

Admission is by donation.

Many North Country singers and musicians donate their time and talent for a musical event including conductor Drew Benware, harpsichordist Frank Jacobsen, Concert Mistress and solo violinist Elaine Dewar, and solo cellist Brian Donat.

Additional musical performers will include the ADK Ad Hoc String Quartet, the Tri-Lakes Community Orchestra and the Backwater Recorder Ensemble. Vocal soloists include Kim Weems, Helen Demong, Marie Cogar, Amy Nelson, Chris Gould and George Cook.
