Holiday lantern-lit leigh rides kick off Saturday

LAKE CLEAR – Lantern-lit sleigh rides, Adirondack pioneering cooking demos, great camp dinners and history of beer workshops will be offered at the Lake Clear Lodge and Retreat as part of the Adirondack Discovery Holiday Celebration.

Conducted by the Paul Smith’s College Draft Horse Club, the Adirondacks’ only lantern-lit trail rides return for a third winter season – with wheels if necessary.

Proceeds go to support the club’s activities.

Group or private rides are available.

The schedule can change due to weather and other conditions. Reservations are required.

The club is dedicated to educating its members and the public about draft power and its uses. Events such as sleigh rides provides the chance for the public to be exposed to draft horses as well as opportunities for students to improve their horsemanship skills.
