Law office hires Hann

TUPPER LAKE — Fischer, Bessette, Muldowney & McArdle, LLP recently announced that attorney Molly Shubert Hann, Esq. has joined the firm as an associate attorney.

Hann is based at FBMM’s Tupper Lake office, and will represent clients in real estate transactions, worker’s compensation, and social security disability cases. Hann will also assist clients with estate planning, corporations, limited liability companies, municipal issues, as well as planning and zoning issues.

Hann served as an assistant public defender for several years before becoming a deputy public defender for Essex County in 2016, where she represented indigent criminal defendants in local, Essex County, Supreme, and Integrated Domestic Violence courts. Prior to that, she was an Associate Attorney at the law office of Erin E. Hayes, where she represented clients in custody, child support, and matrimonial proceedings.

Hann attended Vermont Law School, where she received her J.D., cum laude, in 2012. While attending law school, she worked as a research associate at the Land Use Institute and a Student Clinician at the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic. Her experience includes internships with the Adirondack Park Agency and the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York. Hann received a B.A. in environmental studies and government from St. Lawrence University in 2003.

Hann serves as a board member for both the St. Lawrence University Alumni Executive Council and the Bark Eater Trail Alliance. She also sits on the board of the Lake Placid Shore Owners’ Association, where she chairs the Legal and Regulatory Affairs committee. Hann lives in Saranac Lake with her husband, Steve Hann, and their two children.
