BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE–The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts (ALCA) continues its return to live programming in 2021 with the first concert in its new outdoor tented space. The duo Ivory & Gold and their show “Eclectic Americana!” are on Saturday beginning at 7:30 p.m., part of a season ALCA is calling “Back in Blue!”

Advance tickets are $25 for adult non-members, $20 for adult Arts Center members, $15 for 18 and under, non-member, and $10 for 18 and under, member. Advance purchase of tickets is encouraged, as tickets will be an additional $5 at the tent. Ticket links and more information are available on the Arts Center’s website, www.adirondackarts.org.

Back by popular demand, Anne Barnhart, on flute and vocals, and Jeff Barnhart, on piano and vocals, host a whirlwind tour of great American music, making stops in the worlds of Broadway, blues, ragtime and swing, with their customary virtuosity and versatility. There’s never a dull moment during one of this effervescent duo’s performances.

The performance will take place in an outdoor tented space the Arts Center is calling its “ALCA-Seltzer Space: Outdoor Relief for the Return to Live Performance!”, named for the popular virtual series that delighted Arts Center supporters during the pandemic. It consists of an enclosed, tented area, a stage with lighting and sound, and flexible seating located just behind the arts center on Durant Road. Those who attend are asked to park along Durant Road, as the arts center building will be closed to the public during this performance. Concessions will be available, including beer and wine.

This concert is sponsored by Tony Zazula and Mark Chamberlain.

Upcoming Weekend Series concerts include pianist Richard Dowling on Saturday, July 17, a songwriting workshop and concert by Colorado folk duo Bettman & Halpin on Saturday, Aug. 7, a concert by Barry Oreck and Friends on Friday, Aug. 13, and a concert by contemporary country duo Martin and Kelly on Saturday, Aug. 28.

The touring Adirondack Lakes Summer Theatre Festival also returns live in 2021 with three productions: the comedy Bakersfield Mist July 23-25, the free Shakespeare in the Parks production Twelfth Night: A Radio Play July 29-August 2, and a musical revue, the Great Arts Cabaret, August 19-22.
