LAKE PLACID — The High Peaks Cyclery Mini-Triathlon series attracted seasoned and aspiring triathletes of all ages this summer during its seven-week run.

The regular Mini-Tri events took place every Monday evening and consisted of a course that included a 400-yard swim, followed by a 12-mile bike and a 3-mile run. Participants had the option to compete as individuals or as part of relay teams.

High Peaks Cyclery also hosted Kids Mini-Tris for youngsters who were looking to try out the sport of triathlon.

It was the 34th season of the Mini-Triathlons in Lake Placid. High Peaks Cyclery reported on its Facebook page that more than 280 people participated in the races this summer.
