Bobcats take down Red Storm

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake boys basketball team started slow and never recovered Tuesday on the way to an 82-48 loss to Northern Adirondack.

The Red Storm fell into a hole early and went into the locker room at halftime facing a 43-13 deficit.

Jacob Shipman scored 17 points and teammate Nate McCarthy chipped in 10 to lead Saranac Lake offensively.

Northern Adirondack had four players hit for double digits. Lucas Smart scored a game-high 19 points, Reed Lashway hit for 17, Cody Peryea had 14 and Kayden Guerin added 10.

It was the final regular season game of the season for Saranac Lake, which will hit the road Thursday to take on Moriah in the first round of the Section VII tournament.
