Yankee baseball

The question of the night has to be how healthy will Andy Pettitte be tonight in Minnesota. His last few starts since coming off the DL weren't very promising. But this is Andy Pettitte we're talking about - the winningest postseason pitcher in MLB history with an 18-9 record and 3.90 ERA in 40 career playoff start.

"Qwebinater" as in "Qwell" - a topical treatment for body-nasties. Even down south, though I will need to consult w/the Pentagon on that - Colonel Angus works for McHugh now, or that might just be a rumor.

There's a new varmint it attacks as well, but it doesn't appear to be "broad spectrum":

OK you hockey-pucks down there --

"des*****" = "des-p-i-s-e-d"

The Qwebinater now does incorporate AI, but only for misspelled "potty-text?"

As RR sed - "Their/There you go again!!!"

I saw kids in a movie house at the time "Mommie Dearest" was released try to "Rocky Horror Show" it up -- beating each other w/wire hangers, "Ajax" and other powdered abrasive cleansers filling the air, etc. ("Old Dutch" was my weapon of choice, as had been Knickerbocker Beer - even though Jake Ruppert had owned the des***** NYY before my time.)

Ms. Dunaway's over the top performance was oscar-worthy; her co-star in another flick got one after he died. Peter Finch? I think he played a character named "Paladino?"

Oh well, at least Bill Holden was a nice guy.

Is it because "The Goat" got a comp at Wrigley?

I'm betting it will be "No Pepsi, Coke!!!"

Al Steele was a good guy, "Mommie Dearest," until you went all "Medieval" on him --

"The Cubbies" have been denied the pennant because they deny entry to "The Goat."

"Cheeseburgha! Cheeseburgha! Cheeseburgha!" "No Coke, Pepsi!!"

I've been to the Billygoat on occasion - it's a short walk from both the Sun-Times and the Trib. Last time there, though, sports was not the topic. JFK Jr. had just been reported missing.

It has been predicted that "The Cubbies" will play a Florida team in the 2015 WS.

I love that moniker - "American Idle." NYC area press and fans are brutal. "Hero vs. Goat" -- and any one individual "Hero" may well have been last weeks "Goat."

Now that Mr. Steinbrenner is gone (he had been out of the picture for quite some time prior to his passing,) who will will beat his "Hero/Goat" record in the USA sports world?

Do the Nuttings still own the Pirates, down there in "Iron City?" The one in charge is a "Conservationist." (same agenda as an "Environmentalist," but with a little less "red tape.")

They'll own these words after I hit "Post Comment."

(not sure what rights you writers retain.)
