From left, Josh Spanburgh, Trevor Gilligan, Chris Ericson and Don Mortensen pose for a photo after winning the seventh annual Kevin Broderick Memorial Golf Tournament at Craig Wood Golf Course on Aug. 3. The tournament, which featured 23 teams and 92 golfers ranging in age between 16 and 85 years old, was played in the memory of Kevin Broderick, a teacher and goalie coach at National Sports Academy who passed away in May 2008 after a four-year battle with Ewin Sarcoma. The event raised $2,026, which will be distributed to help local individuals battling cancer. Lisa Warner and Andy Light took the top prize in the closest-to-the-pin competition, while Bridget McKillip and David Nye won for longest drive.
