LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid-North Elba Historical Society has announced the Annual Heritage Day to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
This is the most important fundraiser of the year for the Historical Society and will feature a flea market, food, live entertainment, book sale, the ever popular bake sale, children's activities and a silent auction.
The live entertainment includes the Adirondack Saxaphones at 10am and the Pine Ridge Rounders at noon. These local bands will play a variety of music and provide a focal point for the Heritage Day activities.
Heritage Day will also be an opportunity for residents and visitors to see the Stedman and Moses Collection of historic photographs. For the kids there will be supervised children's activities.
The silent auction will feature a varied selection of items and gift certificates from a wide variety of hotels, restaurants and shops in the region. A great selection of golf packages will be included this year. Bidding will take place from 10am to 1:30pm and all proceeds will benefit the Historical Society and The History Museum.
Limited space is still available for the flea market for a fee of $25; interested people may contact Jenn Tufano at 518-523-3830 or email@example.com.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the many activities and support the Historical Society through this annual fundraising event. Volunteers for the day of the event are still needed.
