Mrs. Dorothy Livernois, 89, of Massena and formerly of Tupper Lake, passed away on June 11, 2014, at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Holy Name Cemetery in Tupper Lake. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service. Online condolences can be sent to www.garnerfh.com. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Highland Nursing Home in Massena.
Dorothy is survived by her son Glenn (Carrie) Livernois of Norwood; sister Beulah (Francis) Bombard of Tupper Lake; daughter-in-law Alice Livernois of Arizona; grandson Scott (Tracey) Livernois of Laconia, New Hampshire; grandchildren Leah and Will Livernois of Norwood, Tiffany Buck, Tonya Rodriguez and Troy Livernois of Arizona; and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Woodrow Livernois; her son Roger Livernois; sisters Lila Clark, Dora LaBounty, Hazel Landsberry, Viola Drew, Eva Chartrand and Clara Bishop; and by a brother, William Oshier.
Dorothy was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Tupper Lake to the late William and Nora Pelkey Oshier. She attended Tupper Lake schools. She was married to Woodrow Livernois in Tupper Lake on June 6, 1945. Dorothy enjoyed reading and attending religious services. She was a former member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Tupper Lake.
