Crews unearth gas tank

May 30, 2014
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
On Thursday, a crew removes a tank from the ground beneath the former Wilson Farms, located at the corner of Main and River streets in Saranac Lake. The crew is performing an environmental contamination cleanup at the site. The business has been closed since April 2013. Since then, the state Department of Environmental Conservation has overseen a cleanup of gasoline that the agency has said leaked into the soil from old underground storage tanks on the property.
