BLOOMINGDALE - The town of St. Armand is seeking applicants for a grant-funded housing rehabilitation program.
Town officials said in a press release that they're preparing an application for funding to help income-eligible homeowners make necessary repairs to their homes. If the application to the state's Community Development Block Grant program is successful, St. Armand homeowners could be able to access up to $25,000 each.
Typical repairs would include roof replacement, electrical and plumbing upgrades, structural repairs and energy conservation improvements.
To be eligible, a homewoner must earn less than 80 percent of the median income for Essex County. That means a family of four earning up to $47,600 a year would qualify, as would a couple making up to $38,100 annually or an individual with an income of up to $33,350.
Applications and program brochures are available at the St. Armand Town Hall in Bloomingdale or by calling town Clerk Davina Thurston at 518-891-3189 ext. 3.
