Art Club visits alumna at GM headquaters

April 2, 2014
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
The Saranac Lake High School Art Club pose behind a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette as they recently visited General Motors headquarters in Detroit, Mich. There were 42 students who were part of the trip, and the students were hosted by Erin Schuler Cossley, alumna of the Class of 1995. Schuler is the head designer for GM’s color and trim division and she gave the kids a tour and had her designers speak to the group about the world of automotive design. The designers showed the kids color choices for the 2017 GM lineup and explained how they got there and how they work creatively together. The club also visited Niagara Falls, the Motown museum and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while on their trip. The education journey was made possible through the efforts of the Art Club members with fund raising events like the Haunted School.
