TUPPER LAKE - The location will change, but the name will remain the same.
At Wednesday night's town-village planning board meeting, Well Dressed Foods owner David Tomberlin told the board he'd like to move his specialty food shop and bakery from its current 96 Park St. location across the street to 87 Park St.
Tomberlin said modifications to the front of the new location would include stripping and refinishing woodwork. The windows and the doors would stay the same.

"If you look at the front of that building, there's some really nice molding, but it's just peeling paint right now," Tomberlin said. "We have bigger plans, longer term; this is just sort of a step one to get it looking personable. We talked about awnings and stuff, but for now we just want to do something affordable to neaten it up."
Inside, Tomberlin said he'd redo the original hardwood floors and keep the tin ceiling and whatever else could be salvaged. A commercial kitchen will also be added.
Once complete, the business will offer baked goods, a deli, prepared food people can warm up at home and tables. The floor plan Tomberlin gave the board reveals lunchtime amenities such as a panini press, soup heater, chicken heater and sandwich station.
"It's not a sit-down, full-scale restaurant," Tomberlin said. "We're not trying to compete with that. We'll have coffee, espresso, Wi-fi, and baked goods. It's basically what we're doing now, just a little bigger.
Planning board Chairman James Larkin seemed pleased with the proposal.
"Tupper Lake is perking up," Larkin said. "This is wonderful."
Board member Bob Collier agreed.
"I just hope we get some traffic before all of these new places come in," Collier said.
A public hearing for the project is set for the board's next meeting at 7:30 p.m. April 23.
