NCCC hosts free frying pan, snowball toss lessons

SARANAC LAKE - In preparation for the upcoming Winter Carnival festivities, North Country Community College will host free lessons for interested competitors in the Women's Frying Pan Toss and the Mayor's Snowball Toss.

Lessons will be provided by Dianna Trummer, the 2013 Frying Pan Toss Champion and 2013 Overall and Government Division Snowball Toss Team Champion, and NCCC President Steve Tyrell, the 2013 Overall and Government Division Snowball Toss Team Champion.

The training is open to all potential competitors of the 2014 Winter Carnival events.

Training will be held on the NCCC soccer field near Sparks Athletic Facility at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30.

The 117-year-old Saranac Lake Winter Carnival will be held Jan. 31 to Feb. 9.
