By staff , Adirondack Daily Enterprise

SARANAC LAKE - Village police charged David Yarosis, 27, of Saranac Lake, with two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny at 5:15 p.m. Monday.

Police said Yarosis stole several items from a vehicle, including a GPS device. He was also reportedly in possession of property taken from other locations, including a recycled metal pig taken from someone else's front porch and clothing taken from a local store. A similar pig, made of recycled metal, was publicly reported stolen from a doorstep in a letter to the editor by Alicia Edenfield, published in the Enterprise July 26.

"This little guy holds a special place in my heart," Edenfield wrote.

Yarosis was already behind bars at the Essex County Jail in Lewis on unrelated charges at the time of his arrest Monday. He was processed, arraigned in village court on the new charges and remanded back to the county jail.
