Six mountains, six wines

December 26, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

SARANAC LAKE - Sue Ward, who owns Saranac Lake Discount Liquors on Main Street, came up with the idea of branding six wines with the names of the six Saranac Lake area mountains that are part of the village's new 6er hiking program.

The 6er wines were made in California by a Hudson Valley-based winery called Millbrook. They come in four varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabarnet and White Zinfandel. Labels for each bottle were designed by Ward.

Ward is donating $1 from each bottle sold to the 6er program.
