Thanks from Operation Christmas Child

November 30, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

Thank you to all the individuals, groups and churches that participated in assembling shoebox gifts for children around the world as part of Operation Christmas Child. The High Peaks Church Relay Center sent 628 boxes (202 more than last year) to the Northern Adirondack Collection Center (in Plattsburgh). The Northern Adirondack Collection Center collected 7,404 boxes (520 more than last year). The Northern Adirondack Team covers the counties of St. Lawrence, Essex, Franklin and Clinton. All of these boxes are now on their way to Boone, N.C. to be processed and prepared to be sent to children around the world.

Operation Christmas Child is part of Samaritan's Purse, and you can find more information about Operation Christmas Child at www.samaritanspurse.org/occ. If you would still like to send a shoebox to a child, you can build a box online through this website also.

Again, thank you to everyone who donated a box.
