William Scott Zagst, 48, of Wilmington, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Mr. Zagst was born Nov. 30, 1964 in Nantucket, Mass. He was the son of the
late Kenneth Joseph and the late Aleta (Harrington) Zagst.
He had worked at various locations as a maintenance man. William was a member of Jay Volunteer Fire Department for more than six years. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend. He was an active supporter and donor to POW/MIA groups, He enjoyed watching Buffalo Bills Football and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
He is survived by one son, William Zagst and his partner Johnathan Paramo of Hillside, N.J.; two daughters: Janet Zagst of Plattsburgh and Kayla Robinson of Malone; one sister, Kimberly Zagst and her husband Robert Preston of Wilmington; longtime companion, Barbara Simpson of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren: Skyler Graham and Cassandra and Brian LaPierre; and three step-children, Martha, Kevin and Amy.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at the M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid, with the Jay Volunteer Fire Department Prayer Service at 2:45 p.m.
