LAKE PLACID - River Road saw minor flooding Friday from the West Branch of the AuSable River, but it cleared up with no damage.

"We just had real minor flooding down in the area that normally floods," said town of North Elba Superintendent of Highways Larry Straight.

The road didn't need to be closed down, but the highway department put out signs to warn people about it. The water receded within a few hours, and Straight said he wasn't aware of any damage resulting from it.
