Tupper school to be part of video project

October 2, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

TUPPER LAKE - The Tupper Lake Central School District has agreed to participate in an educational project being produced for the state Education Department.

Vital Source Media, in partnership with School Works, has been hired by the state to produce a large series of videos designed to support educators as they begin to transition to the new Common Core State Standards.

These videos will be available through the EngageNY website and used for professional development with teachers and staff across the state. They are aimed at providing engaging examples of effective teaching across a wide range of grade levels and content areas.

Through the scenarios captured on videotape, educators will have an opportunity to watch experienced and talented teachers interacting with children in real classrooms as they develop expertise around the Common Core State Standards.

The video team will be in Tupper Lake the week of Oct. 7.
