Bobcats volleyball hits the road for busy weekend

PAUL SMITHS - Volleyball players at Paul Smith's College will be looking to maintain their competitive season as they head into a busy weekend in Concord, N.H.

Paul Smiths brings a 5-8 overall record into action which includes matches today and Sunday. In their most recent action, the 'Cats earned a split on Sunday in Johnson, Vt. They topped host Johnson State and fell to University of Maine Machias in two contests that went a full five sets.

In back-and-forth match with Johnson State Paul Smith's won by scores of 25-10, 15-25, 25-18, 25-23 and 15-11. The Bobcats lost a tough one to Maine Machias in a battle that was just as close. Maine Machias won by scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-16, 21-25 and 15-10.

Paul Smith's competes today in New Hampshire at a tournament that features four other schools, and then plays a pair of Yankee Small College Conference matches Sunday against Unity College and the New Hampshire Technical Institute.

The volleyball team is currently ranked 24th in the USCAA, which is the best in the program's history.
