PAUL SMITHS - The Paul Smith's men's soccer team got back on the winning track Tuesday with a 3-1 victory over Word of Life.

Steve Rathbun scored all three goals for the Bobcats, who improved to 6-1 overall with the victory. Taylor Young, Anthony Ventello and Tony Stuart each had an assist for Paul Smith's.

"It wasn't our best game, that's for sure," said Paul Smith's coach Bryan Mallette. "We lacked intensity tonight, but we will be working on that in practice this week and getting ready for a big conference road trip this weekend."

The Bobcats travel to St. Joseph's College on Saturday and to Hampshire College on Sunday. Paul Smith's next home game is Oct. 6 against Vermont Tech.

The Bobcats opened the season with five-straight wins before suffering their first defeat Sept. 22 against New Hampshire Technical Institute.
