Philadelphia Flyers open four-day camp in Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID - The Philadelphia Flyers will open a four-day training camp today at the Olympic Center.

The NHL team will be on the ice at Herb Brooks Arena today, Friday and Sunday, with Saturday reserved for "team-bonding activities," according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

"I think it's a really good spot to slip out," Flyers coach Peter Laviolette told the Inquirer. "It's an opportunity to get away from families and out of your homes and get to a different place where you can spend some time, work on some things."

The camp is not open to the public.
