SARANAC LAKE - Starting Monday, Luck Brothers Inc. will begin a week-long project to excavate for the new curb and sidewalk on Olive Street, which will be closed to through traffic during that time.

Residents are asked to park on the street at night if their driveways are impacted and to move their vehicles by 7 a.m. the next day so work can continue.

The village Department of Public Works will flush the sewer main on Dorsey Street at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The DPW will flush hydrants throughout the village and town the week of Sept. 23. Residents should expect some water discoloration as a result.

DPW crews will also pave Riverside Drive and Birch, Fawn and Olive streets starting Monday, Sept. 30 through Friday, Oct. 4. Residents should expect some travel delays on these streets.
