SARANAC LAKE - A local man is in jail today on the accusation that he burglarized a business' office and stole cash and a mobile phone.

Village police arrested David R. Yarosis, 26, of Saranac Lake, at 11:30 p.m. Thursday on charges of third-degree burglary (a class D felony) and petit larceny. Police Chief Bruce Nason said Yarosis picked the lock of the business' office and stole about $850 cash and a mobile phone from there.

Police wouldn't identify the business except to say that it is on the Essex County side of Saranac Lake.

He was arraigned in village court and sent to the Essex County Jail in Lewis in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or a $10,000 bail bond.
