Kathlene E. Foley Goodrich, 51, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, following a long illness.
Kathlene was born the daughter of Bernard and Jean (Wamsganz) Foley in Saranac Lake on Oct. 31, 1961.
Kathy met the love of her life, James Goodrich, in April 1986 and they married in Bradenton, Fla., on Sept. 4, 1994.
Kathy was a senior officer specialist, case manager at the Ray Brook federal prison system, where she was honored with numerous awards until her retirement in 2004. Kathy graduated from Skidmore in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. Kathy loved her dog, Druid, poetry and to live life to the fullest. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, James Goodrich; her parents, Bernie and Jean Foley of Saranac Lake; her brother, Joseph Foley of Long Lake; her uncles: Bill, Vernon, John, Paul and Matt Wamsganz; her nephews: Michael Foley, James Goodrich and Josh Goodrich; and her niece, Kelsey Mayo.
Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Muench officiating.
