Chefs and Farmers: Taste of the Adirondacks Sunday

SARANAC LAKE - The third annual Chefs and Farmers: Taste of the Adirondacks will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Harrietstown Town Hall on Main Street.

Chefs and Farmers is a tasting event showcasing the talents of regional chefs from local restaurants and catering companies. Each chef will partner with local farms to create a dish featuring locally grown ingredients.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample all of the dishes by purchasing $1 tickets. Tastings will range from one to five tickets.

Last year, 17 local chefs took part and 400 attendees. Partnering with the Green Circle, the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will be coordinating this year's Chefs and Farmers event, highlighting local business. "The Adirondack Green Circle is thrilled to be passing the Chefs & Farmers: Taste of the Adirondacks torch to the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce" said Green Circle coordinator Gail Brill. "We are looking forward to this fabulous showcase for the lush produce of area farms and amazing skills of local chefs!"

This year's Chefs and Farmers event will be held at the Harrietstown Town Hall Auditorium following the 90 Miler Adirondack Canoe Race. Stick around from 7 to 8 p.m. for a farmer's cocktail reception where guests may interact and learn from many of our local farmers.
