August 5, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
The latest installment of the I Love Local Eats Cooking Series took place June 19 at the Thomas Shipman Youth Center as Ken Fontana of the Blue Moon Cafe in Saranac Lake was the guest chef along with his chef crew of Nicholas Hager and Cory Leach. Pictured, Fontana and his crew receive a bottle of maple syrup, which is produced and sold at the youth center, from youth center board President Dmitry Feld following their cooking demonstration as WSLP radio personality Paul Varga looks on. The next cooking series event will be held in August. The cost to attend is $15 per person and no RSVP is required. For more information on the cooking series, contact youth center Director Jon Fremante by email at fremante@aol.com or call 518-523-8786.
