LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid Center for the Arts Film Series features "The We and The I" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
This day-in-the-life social experiment-workshop film looks at the lives of a group of Bronx teenagers (the bullies, and their targets) who ride the same bus route, and how their relationships change and evolve on the last day of school. (France, 2012, 103 mins, NR, Dir. Michel Gondry).
Tickets are $6 and available at the door. For more information call the Lake Placid Center for the Arts at 518-523-2512 or visit www.LakePlacidArts.org.
Workshopped in The Bronx over the course of three years, Michel Gondry's "The We and The I" gives an inside look into the dynamics, drama and hilarity that emerge on a real-time bus ride on the last day of school with a group of young high school students and graduates.
As kids depart the bus for the last time, we get to learn about these graduates as they step into the world their love, their conflicts, their despair and their hope.
