Governor tours Adirondacks with daughters

Fishes at Follensby Pond and visits Adirondack Museum, Indian Lake firefighters' barbecue

Before taking part in his invitational whitewater rafting race at the Adirondack Challenge in Indian Lake Sunday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo took a tour of Adirondack sites with his daughters Cara and Michaela.

Included was a visit to the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake and a fishing outing on Follensby Pond near Tupper Lake. hosted by the Adirondack Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. The Conservancy owns Follensby Park and hopes to sell it to the state to add to the Adirondack Forest Preserve.

Later, in Indian Lake, Cuomo attended a barbecue hosted by the local fire department.
