Stuart Baird named wastewater operation specialist of the year

LAKE PLACID - The New York Rural Water Association has recognized Stuart Baird of the Lake Placid Village Wastewater Treatment Plant as the 2013 Outstanding Wastewater Operation Specialist of the Year.

The award was presented on May 22 at a ceremony in conjunction with the New York Rural Water Association's 34th annual Technical Conference held in Lake Placid.

Attendance was more than 500 people representing the water and wastewater industry. Baird attended and accepted the award.

Baird was recognized for his commitment to protecting the environment, for his outstanding demonstration of leadership, and his dedication to the community he serves.
