The state Senate has approved the appointment of one new and two current members to the state Olympic Regional Development Authority Board of Directors.

Jill Ruhm Broderick is the newest member of the ORDA board; her appointment was approved Thursday. She'll fill a seat that's a Senate appointment to the board and was previously held by J. Patrick Barrett, who's been promoted to chairman, according to Dan Mac Entee, a spokesman for Sen. Betty Little.

Broderick lives in North Creek, home of the ORDA-run Gore Mountain Ski Center, and is the founder and broker of Broderick Real Estate. She's worked in real estate in the North Creek area for 26 years, according to her business' website.

The Senate also reappointed Barrett and Robert Flacke to their seats on the ORDA board Thursday.

Barrett, a St. Regis Falls native, previously served as ORDA chairman from 2006 to mid 2007. He became chairman again in March 2011, when Gov. Andrew Cuomo picked then ORDA chairman Joe Martens to become commissioner of the state Department of Environmental Conservation.

Flacke has been on the ORDA board since 2009. He was also interim CEO of ORDA from 1993 to 1994. He has been Lake George village mayor and town supervisor, DEC commissioner and APA chairman.

The Senate approved all the appointments unanimously.
