To the editor:
I want to thank Chris Knight and the Adirondack Daily Enterprise for spreading the word about the Axe Apollo space competition in which I participated.
I also appreciate everyone who voted or shared my goal. At the end of April I came in the top 50, largely due to the ADE article and a similar one that ran in the Society of Women Engineers' national newsletter.
I recently graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with my B.S. in aerospace engineering, with the assistance of a scholarship from the Deo B. Colburn Educational Foundation of Lake Placid. In a few days I will be moving to Charleston, South Carolina to begin my job as an engineer at Boeing. I have been blessed with growing up in the Adirondacks, where I received the support that has gotten me to where I am today. Thank you!
