Keene voters pass school budget

Whitney, Haverlick elected to board

Keene Central School's proposed 2013-14 budget passed easily Tuesday night.

The final tally was 128-37. The $5,564,347 spending plan is a 4 percent increase over the current year. It raises the tax levy by 3.5 percent, meeting the state's property tax cap.

Ann Whitney and John Haverlick were elected to three-year terms on the Board of Education.
