The Paul Smith's College Visitor Interpretive Center is sponsoring an bird-themed exhibition of art and photography.
Birds have always been considered subject matter for artists, probably going back to prehistoric art on cave walls, perhaps because they can "magically" fly or because of the seemingly infinite number of varieties. Birds come in all different sizes, shapes, and colors. To coincide with the upcoming Great Adirondack Birding Celebration at the VIC, over a dozen regional artists and photographers have been invited to submit works of art that include or are about birds.
The show will be held in the Great Room Art Gallery at the Paul Smith's College VIC at 8023 State Route 30, Paul Smiths, New York 12970. The show will hang from Friday to June 7.
