Police seek stolen bear statue

SARANAC LAKE - Village police are asking for the public's help in finding a chainsaw carving of a bear that was apparently stolen from a local residence this week.

Police said the carving is about 3 feet tall and depicts a bear in a seated position. It was stolen from a local residence where other property was also damaged, police said in a news release. No other information was provided.

Anyone who may know more about the theft is asked to call village police at 518-891-4422.
