Lifelong Saranac Laker Jack Finegan has taken part in his share of adventure.
After growing up on his family's dairy and potato farm on Harrietstown Road, Jack pursued a career that took him to the FBI offices in Washington, D.C., where he met J. Edgar Hoover, and also to Albany.
While working for the FBI, Jack learned how to fly planes, and that quickly became a passion.

In 1960, Jack and his brother Richard were approached by Harrietstown Supervisor Hayward "Red" Plumadore and asked to run the Adirondack Regional Airport. The brothers ran it together until the 1990s when Richard left; Jack retired in 1996. During their time at the airport they met many celebrities and public figures, including Bobby and Jackie Kennedy, Marjorie Merriweather Post and Richard Nixon.
