National Library Week celebrated

Village Mayor Clyde Rabideau, left, holding cake, visited the Saranac Lake Free Library Monday to celebrate National Library Week with library employees and members of its board of directors. The village Board of Trustees had passed a resolution at its meeting Wednesday night proclaiming this National Library week in the village and encouraging residents to visit the library. Other events this week include a Take a Bite Out of Books meeting for young people, children’s story time this evening and Thursday morning, a Spring Book Group, a Red Cross blood drive and an art show.
