Village water/sewer bill is too high

April 2, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

Too few years ago, my water/sewer bill was less than $100 per quarter, and I'm sure many residences were the same. At that time, we were charged a flat rate, and the village never once complained about losing money. Now everyone has been forced to install, or have installed, a water meter. Now the village wants to raise the water/sewer tax again because it is losing money.

Why do they go to such great lengths to move forward, only to stumble backwards? Our pockets are only so deep.
