Saranac Lake area represented at Ottawa Travel and Vacation Show

SARANAC LAKE - Gauthier's Saranac Lake Inn and Nonna Fina restaurant, invited Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce to attend the Ottawa Travel and Tourism Show over the weekend. As both owners are on the board of directors, the Chamber of Commerce represented our area as a whole.

The Ottawa Travel and Vacation Show is trafficked by more than 20 thousand attendees and showcases vacation options from more than 200 countries. Gauthier's Saranac Lake Inn's Nicole Brownell and Katy Van Anden welcomed attendees at our Saranac Lake Area booth handing out thousands of Visitor's Guides, various brochures and promotional information showcasing Saranac Lake as a premiere four-season destination.

A stay and dine raffle generated anoverwhelming response. Both girls dressed in ski and hiking apparel drew quite a crowd and interest in the booth.

"It was a positive experience representing the Saranac Lake Area at the Ottawa Travel and Vacation Show," said Nicole Brownell, Gauthier's Saranac Lake Inn. "Katy and I enjoyed educating guests on our destination location including its close proximity to Ottawa, making Saranac lake an tangible getaway. We stood out among other exhibitors."

Van Anden and Brownell engaged with potential visitors providing them with a wealth of area information. Many attendees were impressed with Saranac Lake's variety of sustainable practices, water access and amenities.

"A Saranac Lake Area presence at the Ottawa Show is a must in the future," said Vananden, executive director of the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. "We had a warm reception from attendees who excitedly became aware of our destination within the Adirondack Park."
