LAKE GEORGE - Thomas P. Donnelly, 70, died on Monday Feb. 4, 2013, at his home in Lake George.

Tom was born in 1942 in Saranac Lake. He was the son of William Emmett and Margaret Meehan Donnelly.

Tom graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1960. Growing up and remaining in the Adirondacks, he became an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, archery, camping, target shooting and chopping wood. He had especially fond memories of his summers spent tending the locks on Lower Saranac Lake and hunting seasons spent at Sucker Brook Hunting Club.

Tom was a retired member of Local 773 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, and Dunham Bay Fish and Game Club.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, William Emmett and Margaret (Meehan) Donnelly, and his brother William E. Donnelly of Brant Lake.

He is survived by his sisters: Linda and her husband Michael Vanelli of Sparta, N.J., Jo-Ellen and her husband Robert Hooper of Saugerties, and Deborah and her husband Tony Munn of Saranac Lake; his favorite sister-in-law, Bonnie Donnelly of Bolton Landing; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and his very special feline companions, Calvin, Squeaky and Lily, who will miss him dearly.

There will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements are under the direction of Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury.
